Experts in Stained, Epoxy and Diamond Polished Concrete Floors Since 1999

Hastings Concrete Floors opened its doors in 1999. As a family-run business, we believe in treating our customers as we would want to be treated. We started staining concrete because of the uniqueness of each floor. Each concrete floor reacts differently to the stains and has natural variation. Much like natural stone, every floor is different. Depending on how you furnish your home, it can work well with traditional, transitional and modern styles. Most current flooring tends to be “hard surface”—for its ability to take the abuse of foot traffic (human and animals). Because the stain and seal goes on top of the concrete slab, there is a minimum amount of product used. For those looking for a green flooring solution, this is a great choice. We can also use low-VOC products if that is important to you.

We saw growing interest in epoxy and an advancement in the quality of products in 2006. We were able to train and understand the process of preparing the floor and installing epoxy. The opportunities for different types of epoxy products grew, and we were able to add them to our options. Today it’s not only epoxy for a garage floor with color flakes or an industrial work space. We are installing quartz epoxy for commercial work areas, urethane cements for industrial kitchens and ESD epoxy in work spaces for electronics and servers. The last few years have given us products with better urethanes and polyaspartics. There’s a different product for different uses, so we can help you navigate which one is the best solution for your floor.

In 2015 we saw great possibilities with diamond grinding and polishing concrete. We are always looking for better options for our customers. This one allowed us to better prepare our floors better that had other flooring on it previously. We didn’t need the chemicals to strip floors. It’s one of the best environmentally-friendly floors. We are reusing the slab, reducing the chemicals needed to strip mastic and adhesives, and using significantly smaller amount of material to stain and seal than other types of flooring. It also held up much better against foot traffic, which reduces the need to refinish your floors frequently. You can move furniture around on them and not worry about scratching a sealer on top. For years we have been refinishing concrete that has been scuffed, scratched or just worn down. It uses the existing slab, which means that we aren’t bringing in material to cover it. We started with one machine and a vacuum to polish a 400 square foot office on our first project. Today, it’s not uncommon for us to polish 50,000 square feet with multiple machines.

We enjoy working in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. There has always been a strong economy here, and each year seems that our community grows in size and strength. We have an appreciation of all different styles of homes and businesses. We are happy to work with you directly or your own contractor. We also work on many different commercial projects like churches, restaurants, storage facilities, offices and retail stores. We look forward to working with you and answering any questions you might have.
